I regret our society has made childhood more difficult than it needs to be

For my children: Be imperfect because you are loved. However, my perceptions and permissions must change. The worst part is that adults created this mess, and we should have been doing our best to protect your generation from this. Unfortunately, we continue to add to it and do nothing when others try to pile it on as well.
