You will absolutely get to provide input on when you post

There was always a big turkey, for starters, and then the rest of the contents were like an amazing surprise bag of food. I will need your permission to give your email address to the person you will be hosting so they can email you their blog post. Posting days will be determined ahead of time.

During the rest of the year I can move on better but at Christmas the hurt is felt daily if a year where I don't see everyone.

I feel that shame and hurt that I felt in childhood when my mother wouldn't let me go.

My mother does not go (she is polite at weddings and funerals but makes no effort to her siblings and their families otherwise). So here at Christmas I feel great hurt if it is a year I don't see them.

I think they see me as a 2nd tier relative (nice but not that close so not a priority). The rest of her family gathers.

Now as an adult I reach out to her family and some years they accept a visit but other years they don't.

I was used as a pawn as my mother was blinded by her anger and hurt.

My mother is not close to her family and so growing up I was not allowed to see them at holidays.

She never wishes me happy birthday or messages me - When she sees me in the corridor, she looks me up and down in a disapproving way What's her problem with me?

The next day I saw her in college and she looked really shocked to see me - She likes everyone else's posts and pictures on Facebook except mine.

This girl who is friends with my friend often gives me cold vibes for what seems like no reason.
