Schoolyard rhymes and anonymous folk songs deserve documentation

He attended college in Brooklyn, but in an irony, came back to Canada to get his first break. Again, part of it was his bland voice, and also his professor-personality. While he could be witty and wry in his between-song patter, he came off more as a lecturer.

I don't want to offend him by saying nothing and I don't want to offend him by contacting him either.

Would it be in appropriate to wish him a happy holiday?

I care for him and it's hard to think about him being alone for the holidays.

He has friends, but I know around this time of year it can be hard on people with no close relations.

But they arent close and for the most part, he is basically alone.

He has a few relatives in his area.

We haven't spoken in over a month.
