The main user for the natural gas from the terminal will be the SSAB Raahe steel mill

An EPCI (engineering, procurement, construction and installation) contract has been signed with energy company, Raahen Voima. By using LNG to generate power and heat to the mill, SSAB will be able to move to cleaner energy production. As a result of switching to LNG, the steel mill will notably reduce its CO2, NOx and SOx footprint.
