Vaughn is an associate professor of political science at Boise State University

The transition to this new era, which Obama, and arguably his immediate predecessor, George W. Bush, both exemplify, has been decades in the making, spurred by both political and media changes. Prior to this shift, presidents, with few exceptions (e.g., Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Jackson), were largely passive actors.

Now all 3 of these kids are a lot bigger then me and if I tell on them it will only get worse and they will spread the word that I'm a tattle tail.

The second bully is the football jock and isn't as bad but just randomly shoves me sometimes and calls me out but he does it so other kids to so I don't feel as bad.

The first kid is named Jake and he calls me names like a small penis and a Jew even though I'm not even Jewish he still calls me that, and always has something to say when other people are there.

I am almost 15 and a freshman so there is a lot of crap that happenes.
