SMS authentication is less than one percent of that

Sadly, telephone networks were never designed for secure transactions. It is less than one percent of their business. Phone companies lose little or nothing when SMS messages are hijacked so there is little incentive for them to secure it. Can you escape your mobile phone while on vacation?
