The race morning temperature was forecast to be in the mid-60s, rising into the mid-70s during the race. After we had our transition set up, we had only about a half hour until she started her race, and 50 minutes until mine. As I did a few strokes in the warmup area, I noticed that my usual butterflies had flown off somewhere else.
